All photos on Bird@x are associated with recorded sightings. If you have a photo that you want to upload, first record the sighting with the relevant details, then use the button to upload as many photos as you like that relate to that sighting.

Each photo uploaded for the sighting will also be automatically catalogued against the relevant birder (you!), bird species and location (if specified).

If you are reading this then that probably means that no one has uploaded any photos yet for whichever birder, bird species, location or sighting you're looking at. Why not be the first!

Whenever you see a symbol like this 5 it shows you how many photos have been uploaded for the relevant item. Usually clicking on the symbol will take you to see the photos.

Manage Friends

Friends on Bird@x

Bird@x allows you to connect up with other birders as friends. Bird@x can send you a notification when your friend sees a new species or uploads some new photos. You can communicate with each other on the site via comments.

If you want to connect up with other people on Bird@x then go to the Friends tab on your profile page and click the button. Once on the Manage Friends page you will be able to send friend requests to other Bird@x users, or send an email to invite your own birding friends and acquaintances to start using Bird@x.

Manage Groups

Groups on Bird@x

Bird@x allows you to connect up with other birders by forming groups. Bird@x groups enable you to find other birders who have things in common with you and keep up with their birding activity via Bird@x.

Why not set up a group for your local birding club, or your family, or join an existing group that's right for you. Groups can be public (anyone can join), or private (birders need to be invited to join).

If you want to join or create a group then go to the Groups tab on your profile page and click the button. Once on the Manage Groups page you will be able to search for groups you might like to join, or create your own group and invite other Bird@x users to join.
