Neatholme Scrape - Single male LONG-TAILED DUCK still present at 9.00am this morning and again at 13.45pm plus 2 Red-crested Pochard. Neatholme Fen - Two COMMON CRANES heard calling and circling high overhead heading NW between 12.45-12.50pm today, also 5 Common Tern, 2 Turtle Dove, 1 singing and 1 sat on wires along Neatholme Lane and 2 Jays. Blaco - Four Oystercatcher and 2 Buzzard. Wildgoose Farm - Two Buzzard. Tiln North (Restoration Area) - Two Buzzard and 3 Little Ringed Plover. Chainbridge NR Scrape (East) - Two Little Ringed Plover, up to 5 Common Terns today, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Oystercatcher, 6 male Red-crested Pochard, 10 Pochard, 2 Redshank and a number of juvenile Pied Wagtails. Chainbridge NR Scrape (West) - Two Common Tern and a pair Red-crested Pochard. Walters Lane - Two Jays, 1 Kestrel and a family of Long-tailed Tit. Windsurf Pool - A pair of Red-crested Pochard. A single QUAIL was also reported from the site to Birdguides today but I have no further details? Local News Daneshill NR - Single RED KITE over car park at 16.30pm.
